New Year’s Day \ A Family In Ireland

Every New Year’s Day this loving, kind, laughter-filled family travels to the Portstewart Strand to wipe away the cobwebs of the previous year and walk briskly into the new year.  It is the loveliest of traditions, one that I plan on incorporating in some way in my own family.  What a beautiful time of reflection & healing to think back on the trials, joys, struggles, resting of 2013 and to pause to see where we were on that first day of a new year.  What a joy to snap a few photographs of Ric & Victoria and their family during their wee walk, as well as capture little Miss H’s pirate face smile & adventures in the kitchen sink later on during our  visit.
