The Storm King Art Center \ A Foray Into Wonderful

Several years ago I heard rumors of the Storm King Art Center.  Then.  We were driving through New York and I remembered the rumors of greatness.  We took a slight detour.

Photographs will never do the Storm King Art Center justice.
The afternoon spent walking the grounds culminated into one of the most phenomenal and moving art experiences of my life.  It is right up there with walking into the dimly lit Hagia Sophia.  Seeing Maurizio Cattelan: All at the Guggenheim. Being enthralled by the pediment sculptures from the Temple of Zeus in Olympia. Visiting with Washington Color School artist Paul Reed and his wife on a snowy Virginia morning. Watching a ballet at the Bolshoi in Moscow.

So. Everyone must visit Storm King Art Center.  Preferably more than once.
I know that we will be going back.  Every time we are in the area.
